Educated girl, nation’s pride - Social Short Film - Pragati A sweet short film about one girl’s determination to educate herself against all odds. True progress lies in educating the girl child. ‘Pragati is the short film of an impoverished girl, whose parents cannot provide for her education. She receives an old book at a free community education camp. The book has a name written on it which arouses, first, the girl’s curiosity to learn to write her name and ultimately her interest in learning to read and write. However, it so happens that her father who is a vendor/channawalla mistakes his daughter’s book to be a discarded one and takes it to make packets of channa. She rushes to stop her father, but is it too late?
