Education Ambassadors--Two recent transfers. By Federal Law we only have two options if we can’t release a wild native migratory bird back into the wild where it belongs … find a federally licensed organization for it to live as an education ambassador or (sadly) euthanize. We have been very blessed with finding homes for all our non-releasable patients and here are two we recently sent (Raven and Western Screech Owl) to the east in December and we are currently working on two more transfers for another Raven and an American Kestrel. Success like this makes the work worthwhile and gives us that much needed “Warm Fuzzy Feeling” :)
