Education was, is and will always remain the most important topic and subject among the people in the world. There is a great need to educate the people particularly in India about the meaning and definition of Democracy. Because Democracy is a type or form of government and we are said to have Democracy in India, so it concerns every Indian. Unfortunately Democracy is the most poorly taught and learnt topic in the schools, colleges and universities of India........................................................First of all people have to be taught that there is and can not be any equality in society. As many mouths as many words. People have different thoughts, reactions, interests, beliefs, standards, priorities, capacities, limitations, plus and minus points, whims and fancies, likes and dislikes etc. etc. So how can equality be established in any society? Equality of what? People say Equality of opportunities. This is also impossible because it is impractical. Let me illustrate my point. Suppose there are 100 people in a society and you think of providing them equality of opportunity with regard to education. What will you do? Can you enforce education on all? Then you are depriving them of their freedom. Isn`t it a wastage of human and natural resources of the country if you try to educate those who are unwilling, who are unable, who are uninterested? Similarly Freedom is also a myth. Man is a social animal. How can a social animal be made free of social norms and expectations? Tell me who is free in the society. No leader, no officer, no Public servant, no businessman, no farmer, no worker, no citizen is free to have his/her own ways. Then why to talk of a thing which does not exist anywhere on earth? Let us be wise. Let us be practical. Let us accept the reality. Education will not be useful at all if it is based only on imagination, desires and day-dreams.
