Qaradawi said that Egypt is currently under military rule. There is no longer democracy in Egypt, he said. Egyptians have been patient for 60 years and when they gained their freedom, they chose Mohamed Morsy to be their first elected president, he added. Qaradawi described Morsy as being the first president who gave people freedom and democracy, allowing them to say and do what they wanted. Qaradawi described the military as oppressors who have no limits.
