#Ekiti 2014: Fayemi vs Adeyeye# Yesterday, Afenifere chieftain and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship aspirant in Ekiti State, Prince Dayo Adeyeye issued a press statement commending the President Goodluck Jonathan-led Federal Government for locating Army Brigade Headquarters at Aaye-Ekiti, Ido-Osi Local Government Area of Ekiti State. Today, Gomina Fayemi hurriedly issued a press statement, announcing the approval of the establishment of a new Brigade headquarters of the Nigerian Army in Aaye Ekiti, Ido-osi Local Government Area of Ekiti State. A letter by the Ministry of Defence and addressed to Governor Kayode Fayemi, dated September 2 , 2013 with reference number TA/126 CONS/S.12 was quoted. My Take: Why did Gomina Fayemi choose to wait till September 12, 2013 to make a letter dated Sept 2, 2013 that he received since last week public? Was the letter released to the press bcos of the press statement Prince Dayo Adeyeye issued yesterday and was published in the papers today? Was Gomina Fayemi trying to concealed the FG location of the Army Brigade HQ in Aaye-Ekiti bcos he never supported the location of the Brigade Hq in Aaye-Ekiti? Kudos to Asiwaju of Ifaki-Ekiti, Olusegun Adebayo Oni, who worked tirelessly to make the dream of the Army Bridage Hq realisable.
