Elder Braden Bybee pics and letter ❤️Iowa Hey Mom, I loved General Conference this week! We watched all of the sessions out at the barn (church haha). I loved Elder Bednars talk and Elder Robbins talk. Our investigators came to the Sunday morning session of conference. They slipped up last Friday and smoked :( It was a huge disappointment. They had been smoke free for two weeks. They are in the process of moving, so thats what stressed them out. But, we talked to them and helped them out over the weekend. Pray that they are baptized on the 18th of October! They need all the prayers that they can get. They hadnt been reading the Book of Mormon daily, so thats what probably caused them to lose sight of their goal. :( My testimony of the importance of daily scripture study, especially the Book of Mormon, has grown. We watched Meet the Mormons in Des Moines this last week. It was AMAZING! I absolutely love that movie. You should definitely go see it. Haha I told Blake how amazing it was and he said Elder Bybee, I dont believe a word you just said. Missionaries never get to watch movies, so anything you watch is going to be good. Haha it was funny and probably true. So you can take my recommendation for what its worth. It had most of us missionaries laughing and some of the missionaries crying (I dont cry hardly ever remember). :) Remember when I didnt cry being dropped off at the MTC curb. Well, I did later when I was stressed out. But I typically dont cry with spiritual experiences. So yeah, it was both hilarious and spiritual. We did well with proselyting this week. We found several new investigators and received many referrals. So the work is balanced right now. We just need to help the L family to be baptized. I am so excited for them. Moses 7:62 talks about how the Book of Mormon is a tool sent from Heavenly Father to gather the elect from the four corners of the world. Ive seen how that is definitely true. Anyone can know the truthfulness of this work by reading the Book of Mormon and praying sincerely to know its truthfulness. I loved Elder Uchtdorfs talk about the way to know the truthfulness of the gospel is to simply live the gospel. Experience the fruit of the Atonement, and it will bring much joy into our lives 1 Nephi 8:12. John 7:17 teaches us to do Gods will to know the doctrine. This is how faith works. We grow in assurance (belief) that some doctrine or principle is true, then we act on that belief. As God promises each of His children, the Spirit will then bear witness with our spirits that what we are doing is right (Romans 8:16). This yields the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22) which includes love, joy, and peace. So this has mostly been on my mind. We are trying our best to love our investigators into acting on the message we teach. Only their faith to act will give them a witness of what we share to be true. All in all, it was a good week. I just cant stop thinking of how to help our investigators with the word of wisdom. . I sure hope they will be able to receive the restored gospel into their lives. I made pumpkin pancakes and took a picture! My companion is camera shy haha and I was half asleep in the other! :) Thanks Mom. Your the bestest :) Love ya! Elder Bybee
