Electric Motorcycles. Just go ahead and prepare yourself now. They are coming, and will be here sooner than anyone is prepared. And while I will miss the gas powered bikes (and will undoubtably always have my personal fleet), some day, they will be extinct. If you have been in the sport less than 10 years the impact of 4 strokes has not been as significant. For those old guys like me, the thought of 4 strokes on a MX track was once a joke. (Remember those 500 lbs ATKs?) KTM will have the FreeRide E in the US in a year or two. Alta Motors will debut the Redshift towards the end of 2015. And while these bikes may not be the ones that change the sport, Gen 2 or 3 probably will.
