Electricity issue in Agra. I hv been informed that potato is the root cause of power shortage. Electricity is given to cold storages,which are there holding potatoes. In normal circumstances load on cold storage start getting reduced as potatoes start moving into the market. This movement keep rates low. This year it has not happened,there is hoarding n thus increase in prices. Why up govt not forcing them to release in market? As these fall under industry n most of them out of town area,electricity is given at subsidized rates. Public in Agra is paying higher rate even then not getting. There is supreme court order for Agra, even that is not honoured. Due to this hoarding potatoes rates hv increase n will increase in interim till new crop arrive. It is estimated there will b short fall in potato crop. Jai ho! There is nice story built.
