Elizabeth Warren should be politically insignificant, just another - TopicsExpress

Elizabeth Warren should be politically insignificant, just another shrill progressive voice pitching the same tried-and-failed nostrums Mr. Obama has peddled, to our sorrow, these past six years. She has about the same qualifications to be president as Mr. Obama did when he was first running for office, and theres no obvious reason to believe that her brand of class-baiting, gender-baiting big-government authoritarianism would be better than Mr. Obamas class-baiting, race-baiting variety -- except, I suppose, that Mr. Obama has set the bar so low that its hard to imagine *anyone* not raising it at least a little. So she should be a political nullity, just another arrogant leftist academic control freak bent on reinventing America to suit her childish Utopian fantasies. And thats just what she would be, if any of the following were true: 1. Secretary of State (during Benghazi) Hillary Clinton were the heir presumptive to the Democratic nomination for president in 2016; 2. mainstream media werent a wholly owned subsidiary of the progress left; or 3. Americas critical independent voters were paying attention to the news instead of busy stealing big-screen TVs in Ferguson Missouri. However, none of those is the case. Secretary of State (during Benghazi) Clinton is proving herself to be a miserable candidate, and theres real doubt that shell be able to secure the nomination. The media will, as always, back the Democrat, mostly by savaging the Republican candidate while resolutely refusing to dig beyond the campaign-provided press releases of his or her opponent, but also by outright fabrication. And the good people of Ferguson, and all the other low-information urban voters who secured a second term for the worst president in modern history, will still be low-information voters. Because low-information is a choice, and its the easy choice, and theres nothing easier than letting a television comedian tell you who to vote for on election day. So, given all that, theres a decent chance that Elizabeth Warren, this unqualified, unaccomplished, and unwise woman, will be the Democratic nominee for president in 2016. And its a dead certainty that, if she is, the media will pull out all the stops for the first Democratic female candidate for president -- just as they did for the first Democratic party black candidate. Could she win? As another, far more qualified, and utterly vilified, woman likes to say: you betcha!
