To Kill a Mockingbird – Harper Lee- I taught and loved it forever. 2. Gone with the Wind – Margaret Mitchell – How can a true Southern girl not love this book? 3. Corduroy – Don Freeman – My son Jordan Chester and I read this book thousands of times together. 4. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Son – J. K. Rowlings- the first of a wonderful series. I could list them all here. 5. Chrysanthemum- Kevin Henkes – My daughter Alyssa Lauren Chesters favorite book and one of mine as well. 6. The DiVinci Code – Dan Brown – Loved it. 7. A Time to Kill – John Grisham – Fantastic book by a fantastic author. 8. The Great Gatsby – F. Scott Fitzgerald – Have read it over 10 times. 9. The Help – Kathryn Stockett – Wonderful book 10. Fahrenheit 451 – Ray Bradbury – I learned to love it teaching it.
