Bryant March 17, 1946 - June 22, 2014 Guest Book | Back Printable Obituary Service: Thursday, June 26, 2014 - 1 p.m. in New Life Tabernacle, 609 Patty Lane, Kendallville Calling: Wednesday, June 25, 2014 - 4 to 8 p.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel and one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday. ************************************************************************************** Elsie Alice Bryant, 68, of Rome City died Sunday, June 22, 2014, at 1:30 a.m. in her residence. She moved to this area in 1966, coming from West Virginia. Mrs. Bryant was a homemaker. She was born March 17, 1946, in McDowell County, West Virginia, to Alec and Florence (Collins) Beavers. Surviving are three daughters, Marvetta Martin of Fisty, Kentucky, Elisha (Rick) Richards of Albion, and Florence Keene of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; two sons, Verner Dean (Linda) Keene of Panther, West Virginia and Mark Keene of Albion; six grandchildren, Heather (Josh) Smith, Curt (Brittany) Fuller, Angel Keene, Mark Keene, Jr., Shelby Keene, and Rick Richards, Jr.; a great-grandson, Carter Fuller; and two sisters, Georgia Asbury of Kendallville and Hazel Baker of West Virginia. She was preceded in death by her father, Alec Beavers; her mother, Florence Ferrell; her first husband, Verner Keene in 1972; her second husband, Hershel Bryant in 1992; two sisters, Elizabeth Steele and Macie Estep; four brothers, Curtis Beavers, Gene Cole, Charlie Cole, and John “Hobert” Cole; and a granddaughter, Loretta Lynn Keene. Funeral services will be Thursday, June 26, 2014, at 1 p.m. in The New Life Tabernacle, 609 Patty Lane, Kendallville with Pastor James Archambeault officiating. Burial will be in Orange Cemetery, Rome City. Pallbearers will be Mark Keene, Jim Begley, Calvin Shepherd, Mark Keene, Jr., Clayton Rugg, and Ray Keene. Calling is Wednesday, June 25, 2014, from 4 to 8 p.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville and one hour prior to the services at the church on Thursday. Preferred memorials are to Young Family Funeral Home for funeral expenses.
