Elvis Believed in God: Theres not much you can or cant say about Elvis spirituality. He believed in God, despite his quests in the infinite. He not only had gifts from God, Elvis was a gift from God to us all. Elvis believed in God & in Jesus Christ. Hed learned to sing Gospel songs at the tender age of 2 when, seated upon his mamas lap in Christ the King Pentecostal Church, when the choir stated in to sing, young Elvis quickly vacated his seat & ran up to join them in song. He was a natural, & as he became famous, his gospel songs were, & continue to be, the best that ever has been sung. Sad to say, during his career, for which he earned recognition as entertainer of the 20th Century, Elvis received only 2 Grammy Awards, both of them for Gospel music. Elvis wasnt only a gift, but he had a gift. A gift to help, heal, see. It wouldve taken him a while longer to fully understand some of the reasons behind that gift, which he was only beginning to understand at the time of his death. the meditation garden at Graceland several reknowed psychics predicted Elvis death, but deep down within his own soul, Elvis knew his days were limited. He didnt require any psychic input to obtain that knowledge. He worked hard at studying different aspects of spirituality including sampling different types of religions & checking out mediums. Hed become a member of the Theosophical Society & believed strongly in Egyptian culture & symbols as related to the afterlife. His facination with Egyptology wasnt borne of the darkness but of an inner desire, a quest to visit & learn of places we may have been before, or places we visit in dreams. Elvis grew up knowing only God & Jesus. His parents were religious & taught him well. He had no reason to undertake a quest for answers until the death of his mother, Gladys, caused him to spiral downward, in an empty void that would never again be filled. He wanted so much to find out where his mother may have gone, along with his departed twin, Jesse. He wanted answers; he had many questions, & no 1 could provide them in a way Elvis needed to understand. Thus, he started out on a true journey of soul: to find answers, & to find himself. Having Native American roots may have contributed to Elvis ability to easily understand all things spiritual. His total & devout belief in God was further accentuated by a curious desire to understand all things unseen & unknown to both the human eye & mind. But more than this, Elvis own powerful mind afforded him the uncanny ability to dissolve into spontaneous trance like meditative states that might often be mistaken for daydreaming. Family members at Graceland found him at times conversing alone, or witnessed lights going on & off by themselves. Some have said Elvis knew when someone was at the door before it had become obvious to anyone. Talk of his being able to mesmerize with a mere glance of his crystal like eyes, & his magnificent energy was often times felt by those who stood in his presence. His power was boundless. He healed with his hands, heart, & voice. He taught himself all there was to know about what he wanted to know, &, always, when all was said & done, he remained in Gods light. Elvis was a force of nature. He preferred a blue healing light with the laying on of hands. Elvis had a profound ability to communicate mentally to both the living & those across the span of realms & it s almost with certainty he wouldve continued perfecting this ability. While he admired psychic readers, its strongly believed Elvis didnt feel it was right to pay for a psychic reader to give him messages which is 1 reason why he didnt allow himself to be read. As weve learned from Larry Gellers book, Leaves of Elvis Garden, Elvis performed the laying on of hands on several occasions, & cured family members & friends of habitual ailments. Elvis was not, however, able to heal himself, but practiced the mantrum of mind over matter whenever ailments plagued him, advising close friends to do the same. Had Elvis been here with us now its more than likely he wouldve continued on his spiritual journey. He was coming closer to finding his way on the path when he was called away. Had he pursued the journey, Elvis wouldve perhaps continued to learn & perfect his healing abilities. He may have become a preacher, for he knew every Bible verse & scripture by memory. He enjoyed the Psalms especially. God was within him & he wanted everyone to know, everyone he met knew that Elvis loved God.
