Emma asks: Hi mamas, I wonder if anyone has ever experienced what I have been enduring these last 6 or so weeks. Basically my 8.5 month old daughter has struggled with solids and I have realised that if I avoid them then she is more settled and mercifully sleeps better. Has anyone experienced this? I partly feel its fine as shes getting what she needs from my milk but partly I worry that its a bit late...you know..like she might need more ! I have two older daughters (11 and 8 ) and bf them for many years but they adapted to solids rather well albeit the middle one has allergies. A little background info : bubba has reflux and I have found a dairy free diet for myself had helped...therefore wondering if instinctively she is delaying until her gut is developed further. Also she was slightly IUGR bubba 5lb full term but bright as a beautiful button that she is!!! Long post sorry!!!
