Employment Opportunity Greater New York Division The following Employment opportunity is available: Security Manager Franklin Womens Shelter Section: Social Services of Greater New York Department: Franklin Womens Shelter Status: Exempt Salary Range: $28,000 - $36,000 Responsible to: Senior Shift Coordinator Contact: Kahdijah Solomon (P) 347-417-8202 Qualifications: · A valid New York State Security Guard License · Two years or more security experience · A High School Diploma or equivalent to job experience · Strong communication an writing skills · Posses and maintains a valid Fire Guard Certificate F-44 · Posses and maintains a valid Fire Safety Coordinator License F-80 · Posses and maintains a valid CPR and First Aid Certification · Strong leadership ability · Strong listening skills · Capable of managing upwards and with subordinates in a matrix management structure · Follows directives and completion of assignments · Proficient with Crisis Management · Able to provide daily and monthly updated training related to security needs General Summary: The role of security Manager is to provide professional supervisory services pertaining to the administration of security within the guidelines and principles as set forth in The Salvation Army Mission Statement. Employee Handbook, Security Manual and New York State Security. Responsibilities: · Able to maintain a calm and professional demeanor with co-workers, subordinates and clients at all time · Participates in the on call schedule each week · Creates all security schedules with ample coverage · Identify new and improved post for increased safety of facility · Follow supervisory instructions in a timely manner and Abide by chain of command protocol · Complaint with company directives and protocols · Maintain the Critical Files and ensure it is compliant and up to date independently · Participate in disciplinary action when needs · Participate with all inspections · Corrects organizational, city and state violations in a time sensitive manner · Maintain all security licenses and Fire Brigade Certifications · Perform weekly hands on training with each security guards tours · Provide documentation of all training dates with signatures · Proven leadership and mentoring track record · Proficient at conflict resolution · A team player dedicated to the protection of people and property · Aware of and committed to The Salvation Army philosophy · Compliant and familiar with the New York State Security Guard Act of 1992 · Must assure all security officers are properly licensed and trained in accordance with the New York Security Act of 1992 · Must protect confidentiality of clients and work-related information obtained in daily operations · Must insure adequate coverage at sites is maintained on daily basis · Fill in security schedule as needs · Able to work overtime when business needs arise · Must insure all security policies and procedures are being properly followed and implemented · Complete reports and official documents timely and as required · Be available to work different work schedules as needed to include weekends and holidays · Contribute to insure safe workplace for residents, visitors and staff · Work as a team player with the operational departments within the facility The Salvation Army reserves the right to add to, delete, change or modify the job duties.
