Employment Opportunity Operation Reality Check, LLC Control and Verification Team Job Description Title Non-Player Character Faction Head Mil-Sim Department(s) Control and Verification Team Reports to Control and Verification Patrol Leader Scenario Control and Tom “Monty” Sutton Job summary The purpose of the Military simulations Faction Head is to work as a liaison between the Mil-Sim Players and Scenario Control to clarify missions, educate players on the back-story and intelligence that is the rationale of a mission and also to confirm a mission’s completion. The Faction Head/Storyteller will also deliver the missions as if they are the character. To all intents and purposes you are a game “Boss” while in character. You chief aim is to assist with the immersion quality of the scenario, by providing an in-character faction head/Story teller that will have a direct impact on the team without it having to grind to a standstill is a unique part of Operation Reality Check Scenario. All Faction Team Heads/ Storytellers are expected to put in 12-hours of Preparation ork for the event, and the Operation Reality Check Time Sheet is available Via the Operation Reality Check Staff website (Avail, Jul 31, 2014) Summary of essential job functions 1. Actively Promote the Scenario and assist with the recruitment of Players to fill the Roster, 2. Keep the Producer informed of the situation on field throughout the Scenario 3. Actively conduct patrols around the game area while the game is in progress while maintaining a low profile game “Character”. The game character of the control and verification Patrol is dictated by the game design, for example, a group of Traders in Zombie OutBreak, a FEMA Team ion 10,6 or a Non-Government Organization in Reality Check. 4. Issue missions or tasks to players or members of the Non-Player Character Team 5. Assist with check-in, registration and kit inspections as well as marshaling the camping and staging area. 6. Provide an in character briefing prior to the game. 7. Remain in constant radio communication with scenario control throughout the scenario control. 8. Assist the Logistics manager and the Prop Master with the distribution of props essential to the game, and when necessary, the Non-Platyer Character Leader in the escorting the NPPCs to an area of the field they may be necessary. 9. Post-game, you will be required to provide a detailed account of the Scenario in a written report in Character 10. Ensure that re-spawn rules are being observed, reporters are not being “hoarded” and mount in Character rescues if this is the case and that rules are being followed by all players. 11. Throughout all of your duties you will be expected to present Operation Reality Check in a positive and welcoming light. 12. Adherence to all Operation Reality Check Policy and Procedure. 13. Learn the script so that you enter the scenario with a high level of understanding of the games mission flow 14. Take part in the weekly Role Playing exercise that will go out as an email and responses given in the NPC Facebook Group. Takes approx. 5-10 minutes. 15. Understand the CAVT Rules of Engagement to the letter 16. Have an in depth knowledge of the Scenario Back-story, key characters and personalities within the game. 17. Police the Scenrio in an un-biased manner. Minimum requirements Have in-depth understanding of the Operation Reality Check Rulebooks prior to the event A working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications A basic understanding of Skype so that meetings of field can be conducted. Abilities Must have at least 2 years gaming experiece in either, Airsoft, LARP, Paintball or other Live action Gaming Control and Verification Team members must be in good physical condition with leadership qualities that include the ability to educate players on the rules of the Scenarios, have an uplifting personality and be a motivated self-starter with a positive attitude towards Operation Reality Check’s Mission of ensuring that the players experience is one they will wish to repeat. Must be able to make on the spot decisions to ensure that the game flow is not interrupted and do so in a Firm, friendly and fair manner..
