Enchanting If I were a gypsy, I would dance for you. If I were a musician, I would play for you. If I were a witch, I would put a spell on you. But I am a poet, so I will rhyme for you. Do my words not dance on the page? Are they not melodic? Do my stories not leave you spellbound? Am I not an enchantress? So come lay your head on my lap. Close your eyes and relax. Let my words take you on a journey Down the silk road of your soul. I will guide you to your own oasis. I will strand you on your own island. I will lead you through the secret passes That zig-zag the mountains of your doubt. Together we will arrive at my lodgings. Together we will take shelter in my hut. Together we will gather provisions That will last us until you see what I see. The universe hiding inside me.
