Encourage Zambia #31: FAREWELL 2014, WELCOMING 2015 If you are still alive today, be reminded that on 1 January 2014, we all received 365 days from God in our time account. Those who died during the year received less than 365 days. God gave us the power of choice regarding how to use the time deposit we all received. Some used 2014 to pursue success in education, career, business, marriage, friendship, etc. Some used 2014 to obey God, pursue righteousness and holiness in order to draw closer to God. Others used 2014 to disobey God, hurt and defraud others, commit all sorts of sins, etc. Regardless of what we did in 2014, God is a loving Father whose mercy and grace is still extended to us as He gives us another year 2015. If we faltered in 2014, we can ask for Gods forgiveness. The salvation through Christ is still available to all who will believe in the accomplished work of salvation that Christ achieved when He died and rose from the dead. It is certain that not all of us who will start 2015 just after midnight tonight will be able to complete the year 2015 because death always visits the human race every year in every country. This is what must make us sober to reflect on how best we can use the gift of time God is giving us in 2015. As we bid farewell to 2014, we can act to make things right with God so that we embrace 2015 standing on the promises of God. The Apostle Paul tells us in Ephesians 2:10 that we are Gods workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works which he ordained before hand that we should walk in them. Therefore in all our aspirations in 2015, let us remember to do good by walking in love at all times, grow in the fruit of the Spirit, grow in the knowledge of Christ, excel in our contribution in our education, careers, businesses, marriages, families, Church, communities and globally. Only you can become the best you. Only you can beat your best record. You are unique, you are fearfully and wonderfully made by God, and you are a blessing in this generation. You are a gift to our generation and the world is waiting the best in you to manifest to the glory of God. I wish you a prosperous and blessed 2015! At midnight, it is Farewell to 2014 and we Welcome 2015. (By Weston Chewe)
