End of Year Message from Mr. G. T. Dzikiti, Interim President of the Democratic Assembly for Restoration and Empowerment. Once again it is that time of the year when we wish each other a merry Christmas and happy new year. This year we as with the previous eight years we say these empty words mechanically and routinely without any sense of hope and optimism. As is customary let me take this opportunity to remind Zimbabweans that Christmas is a time to be merry ,exchange gifts and connect together at family , national and international level celebrating the birth of Christ. We find ourselves subconsciously thinking and living beyond the day as the battle for survival is a stark reality that Zimbabwe is in despair and ravished by poverty. Unemployment is rocketing high with the future of most workers uncertain. There is no spending culture as the level of those depending on small incomes is very high. Our situation is made worse by lack of tangible, people centered and deliverable programmes towards resuscitation of industry more so geared towards production and manufacturing sector. We take pride in hardworking and innovative Zimbabweans with our never give up mentality and ask all of us to be vigilant but at the same time realise that only a DARE government will restore and empower Zimbabwe for us to have a Christmas again. The glaring poverty which confronts Zimbabweans has decimated and expunged all hope of uhuru, it’s not yet uhuru for a majority of us Zimbabweans. At this point I humbly invite Zimbabweans to leave their entrenched old political ideologies and embrace DARE going into the New Year. We speak to ubaba Ndlovu in Nyamandlovu, to Tete Chigida in Mt Darwin, to Sekuru Mlambo in Chipinge, Mukoma Chitova in Chiredzi and our elderly Mbuya Sibindi in Victoria Falls. We remind you that your dreams and your wishes will be attained in the nearest time possible. We speak to the restless youth of Zimbabwe and clearly state unequivocally that national service does not create jobs but national public works does!!!!,We share the pain of Tokwe Mukosi victims who were dumbed and abused in their own country.A stark reminder that our rights are paper rights. We are keenly aware of next to nothing service delivery.Housing delivery, clean water and social amenities are a pipe dream. We remind people that it is in not good to relegate our patriotism and ubuntu into that hidden corner but better to savage the little energy we have towards a lasting push and trajectory. DARE stands ready to propel Zimbabwe to the next level where restored trust, honesty, ethics and ubuntu will reinvigorate Zimbabwe towards an economic boost and boom. None but ourselves will have to claim our rightful place by participating in our own political change. We are mindful that Zimbabweans cannot take one more day of this inept and dysfunctional government and in that light call upon dissolution of parliament and fresh elections with a clear roadmap and guideline towards free and fair Elections. We have witnessed a dangerous precedent and reawakening of the old animal of violence against Occupy Africa Unity Square activists. Abductions and torture of activists must be condemned and government must stop forthwith abuse of citizens. We salute all activists and stand ready to support those who fight for a just and free Zimbabwe and we in that light call upon our erstwhile comrades to join us in our united assembly quest to form the next government of Zimbabwe. Cognizant of the prevailing imbroglio in the yesteryear liberation parties we invite progressive Zimbabweans from all walks of life to reflect seriously in these last days of 2014 and join DARE in 2015 as the alternative party and government in waiting. We want to take the opportunity to highlight those calling for tents and unions to remind them that it must be ideological minds and vision that meets in any democratic assembly where inclusivity and not tent pegs determine the course of history. We stand ready to engage all interested people and stakeholders towards a better Zimbabwe where once again. Christmas is celebrated and the coming of a new year brings growth and urge for more achievements. On behalf of DARE leadership and membership and my on behalf,we wish all you all great citizens of our motherland happy holidays and a blessed New Year to come. God bless you, God bless our Homeland and God bless DARE.
