Ended up ghosting in a GTA lobby. Someones baby was crying in the background, and another player started to insult the guy. Sure theres a mute button for your mic, but when communicating with others frequently, its needed to keep up to date. Then the guy started insulting the other due to his accent as well as the baby in the background. Sure, I have problems when entering a lobby with people speaking a different language, but I dont start my mic to insult them about it. Anyways. The guy was ranting and insulting for a good 10 minutes and the other guy was making it worse by talking back. I started my mic and made one comment, If the guy is the stupid one, how come you arent the one muting him, since you dont like the background noise? Its a simple task, and much easier than wasting time in an argument that wont solve anything. Both guys shut up, the the foreign guy spoke first, agreeing that it was much easier than their pointless banter. the attacker though, decided to try an attack both of us. Spouting, You need to go back to school! Im on vent! Whats 1+1? Not to mention he went to the point on mimicking the foreign guy. My only response was How childish, to go to a point where you repeat everything the other person says, sounds like you are the one that needs to go back to school. Not since I kind of bugged the game, I couldnt see other players in the play list, just myself, but other people could hear me and I can hear them. Not to mention i was somehow on a different server map than them. But according to the foreign guy, the bully left. For a guy that sucks badly at arguments, I feel kinda good stopping that argument. Usually I try to draw their attacks towards me, and then mute them. But I couldnt mute since my playlist only had me in it >.< Why do people have to be so stupid online. Im behind a screen, I can talk smack and act cool and they cant do anything to me. Not to mention the people being attacked, theres now an option to report people for player harassment. Not sure how useful it is yet, but its a good thing to use when idiots gripe at you with no real reason. I wish I could say how parents need to watch their kids more often when it comes to online play, but the sad part is, this guy was more in my generation, when parents didnt need to worry about it too much. So my generation is hurting the younger generations with the bully issues more than anything.
