English Experience Holiday £500 per person The dates are: -Saturday 24th August to Saturday 31st August -Saturday 31st to Saturday 7thSeptember Your direct host mom will be Andy Rix, she offers you this program during the two weeks : Our aim is to provide an all inclusive ‘English Culture’ holiday, I would collect you and up to 3 others directly from the airport at Bournemouth and bring you to our home. We live in the market town of Ringwood, Hampshire, Southern England. We are very close to the beautiful ‘New Forest’, where ponies and deer freely wander. We hope you will join us sometimes on an evening stroll in the forest with Barney our lovely dog. The accommodation comprises of two single rooms with a shared shower room and a shared double room with a two single beds and access to a shared shower room. Everyday I will take you on an excursion in the car. These are the day trips we will provide. Southampton…AM Titanic Museum /PM Old City Walls walk Later … Free time around West Quay shopping centre Salisbury……AM Stonehenge (famous ancient stone circle) PM Salisbury Cathedral (very beautiful/largest spire/ interesting guided tour) Free time around Salisbury shops cafés (medieval town) Portsmouth…..Royal Dock Yards… the famous ‘Victory’ battle ship tour all about Nelson and the battle of Trafalgar. Also new interactive museum all about the Mary Rose Tudor warship, that has been salvaged from the bottom of the ocean. Early Eve….Spinnaker Tower…a very modern architecturally beautiful tower from which there are panoramic views of Portsmouth LONDON …A day trip to London incorporating a walking sight seeing tour and entry to 2 main Attractions… Riding on the London Eye and visiting the Tower of London Chichester ….AM Fishbourne Roman Palace Interactive Museum…lots of mosaic floors etc Bosham harbour…picturesque fishing village…where the Roman’s landed PM Chichester (Roman town) Beautiful walled walk around the town. Famous for 4 streets North, South, East, West, converging on the centre market cross. Free time around Chichester…awesome shops Eve…Up to the Trundle…old hill fort…walk around for panoramic views and views of Goodwood Race Course (very famous as very beautiful horse racing circuit.) Swanage ….AM Over on the Chain ferry to the Purbeck Isle…tour around the picturesque ruined Corfe Castle, wander around ancient village of Corfe with lots of thatched cottages etc. PM To Swanage.. free time around typical traditional seaside town…relatively unspoiled Traditional Fish and Chips on the quayside. The cost for the holiday includes : all food ..Breakfast, Packed Lunch and Dinner, Accommodation, Travel by car for all trips, Admission to all attractions listed The cost does not include your flight but to save you money just bring hand luggage, we are happy to wash and dry your clothes and will provide complimentary shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, moisturiser We will give you a fantastic time, providing a real English Experience. My husband Ian and I are teachers and hold Enhanced Criminal Disclosure Certificates….this means that we have no criminal convictions and are deemed suitable by the authorities in Britain to work with young people. We are used to hosting students and have plenty of space for you to relax /watch tv /use the internet. We will provide lots of food. In order to fit in all the activities we need to have breakfast around 8.30am and leave the house between 9 and 9.30 am. We would aim to have an evening meal about 7pm. (To make the most of our day in London we will need an earlier start!) You are insured through us to travel in our car and by law you have to wear a seatbelt at all times. We have house insurance which includes public liability insurance for you when you are in our home. You will need a European Health Insurance Card in case you fall ill while you are here and we need to take you to the doctors or hospital. You will need your own travel insurance to cover your own belongings and general travel insurance. We will provide all bed linen and towels.
