Enjoy this repeat Wednesday. I am sure you have all heard the story of the young couple that got married. They went on their honeymoon and returned home. A few weeks had passed so the mother of the young bride called to see how things were going for the newlyweds. The young bride told her mom, “ Mom, things were going great until he started using those 4 letter words!” The mom was beside herself and almost in shock. Then her daughter continued, “Mom, he started using words like, wash, cook, iron, and work”. Amazing how powerful those “4 letter” words can be, but there is one that has more significance than the rest. It is used daily on our Life journey. It affects everyone differently and again, it has great importance. That simple little 4 letter word is WHEN. It is defined as that point in time and the circumstance under which something occurred or may I add, will occur. Everybody has or will have a “when” moment in their life. For the child, it is the moment that a trip to a certain amusement park or trip to grandma’s will take place. For the teen, it is the moment he or she graduates from high school. For the young lady, it is the moment her night in shining armor comes riding in on his white horse and carries her away. For the young man, it is the moment he finds his sleeping beauty or the lady of his dreams, his soul mate for life. For the person who has been standing in an unemployment line, it is the moment a job offer comes , for the person who has been battling cancer or some dreaded sickness, it is the moment a doctor says that a cure or treatment has been found that will help them recover and be well. It is that moment, for some, “when the eggs run out”. It is that moment for the person who has been so mixed up on their life journey when they meet the only One who can bring real peace and happiness to them. That moment when a decision to make a complete change in their life takes place. It is that moment that the business man begins to see things flowing as they should flow. For so many, it is the moment when dreams become reality. I read about a certain young lady who was told she would have a son who would change this world. When the days were accomplished she had that baby. She had her WHEN moment and by the way, HE did change this world and continues to do so. Have you had your WHEN moment yet?
