As I finished my quiet time today, I realized I havent updated this page and so many of you have asked about her status. Meghan will be flying home from High Point, NC on Dec 16, 2014 and having surgery in Boston at MGH on Dec 18, 2014 with Dr. Inglessias to fix the PFO in her heart As I reflected over the past year (see original Facebook post below), Ive realized how far weve come as individuals and a family. Im forever thankful for a God that listens to the cries of our heart and answers prayers. It was a privilege for me to see Meghan play soccer last week in High Point. The last time I left High Point, I wasnt sure if I would ever see her play soccer again. She has worked her way back to being a contributing member of the team and I thank all of you for keeping her in your thoughts and prayers. Although that first college goal remains elusive, I trust and pray that God will bring to pass the dreams and desires He put in her heart. Ill let you know the time of the surgery as the date approaches but for today may you be encouraged that God is good all the time. He is forever faithful to those that call on His name. Love Beth Sept 22, 2013 (Original Facebook post) Were on our way back to Boston from North Carolina. We went down to watch Meghan play soccer for High Point on Friday night. Our world got turned upside down. When we arrived her words didnt make sense and she couldnt remember much. We took her to the ER in Greensboro. After ct scans, 2 MRI scans and a horrible lumbar puncture, and 5 blood samples it was determined that she has a brain tumor in her left front hemisphere in the Brocas speech area. Were bringing her back to Boston for a brain biopsy and likely surgery. We are meeting with a neurosurgeon tomorrow. Meghan is completely overwhelmed and scared. Please pray for healing of her brain, heart , and soul as she goes through this. Please also pray that the tumor is benign. Her favorite verse is I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
