Kinda now.” ― Joss Whedon This coming Saturday January 31st from 10am to 5pm, The Women Empowerment Club of Yorku, will be hosting our third annual conference. The theme this year is Suppression of Oppression. With a choice of three of the five different workshops centered around topics like Aboriginal women, women in the gaming world and violence against women... this conference will be eye-opening. We have amazing speakers including Lee Maracle (my idol) and women from Games for Dames and free food! Tickets are $10 for York students and $15 for non-York students.
