Erica asks 2Hello, my son is 4 years old and because we do not have insurance and cannot afford to pay for testing, we have been having extreme difficulties getting him the help he needs. The furthest we have gotten is him being diagnosed with a sensory delay. All I keep being told is he is too young to diagnose with ASD, but I see all these other parents on here saying their children were diagnosed at 3 and 4. How is he supposed to start preschool this year when we cant get him any kind of help, he is still not potty trained, wont feed himself, and is unable to have a real conversation (he talks but online on things he memorizes like TVs shows. We need help!
