Erich Schaffhauser thought up some cool standups during our trip to the oil fields, including one with me walking through the Amtrak parking lot in Williston pointing out cars from different states. But he also got a bit reckless, and probably frightened any children still up for the news, by zooming in on my face, brightly illuminated by the strobe as I listened to an interviewee. I looked like the anorexic older brother of Tommy Lee Jones after a four-day bender with Gary Busey. Which some might argue is not a bad look for me. Still, I had to warn Erich by email that if he ever shot that tight on my face again, he would risk being impaled on his own camera tripod. He seemed unintimidated. Chill out, Woster, he replied. You looked just as old walking across that parking lot. See, that kind of attitude? Its one of the reasons he and I get along so well.
