Erick Freitas and I have decided to put up some of our pitches - TopicsExpress

Erick Freitas and I have decided to put up some of our pitches that have we havent managed to find a home for yet. Rather than letting them just sit on our hard drives, we thought wed share them with you. Drawn by Sean Pryor, as a prequel to our TANK story by Julien Dufour, which ive also attached. Pitching comics is difficult, as an artist, its much simpler to submit work and either be invited on to a project or basically ASK for work. Like if i have an opening in my schedule, i send out feelers like You guys need any variant covers? Basically that is the extent of my email. I usually get a good response. My art isnt everyones tastes, but it does appeal to editorial staff and those who are in the industry. Writing on the other hand, is harder to judge, and as a writing team, Erick Freitas and I are less of a known entity, so you end up competing against what the publishers already have lined up, as well as other writers and artists who have established themselves. In the meantime, im asked why i dont self publish our work, but the truth is, theres already a lot of our work out there, for 99 CENTS! If youre not reading AMAZING FOREST, you should be, heres a link: https://comixology/Amazing-Forest-1/digital-comic/49199 Theres six issues of it, but since its hard enough getting a dollar from someone, so you can also read (for free!) my ongoing webcomics project with Michael Paynter, Tyson Elmer and the prose novel that Lilith Wood is writing on ORGOs BOOKS OF KNOWLEDGE! orgosbooks.tumblr/ Anyway, theres no shortage of our work out there, over 150 pages of comics from GAMMA to AMAZING FOREST to ORGO - so go read it, and hopefully youll see us on comic shelves in 2015.
