Ethical dilemma: Someone dropped off $50 in cash at my office. No note. No phone call saying did you get it? No one was in the office at the time. Several clients owe me money--both those whose cases have resolved, and those whose cases are pending. If its from someone whose case is over, the moneys mine. If its from a pending case, it goes in my trust/escrow account. Regardless, it needs to be credited to someone. Any of my fellow members of the bar have this problem?
