Eugene Job of the Day: Metal Fabricator (555 Lincoln St. Eugene Oregon ) compensation: $14.50 + DOE Personnel Source is seeking skilled experienced metal fabricators to manufacture material handling and sorting systems for the solid waste and recycling industries. Must be able to use technical drawings or plans as a guide to weld metals. Must be able to examine and check all work to ensure welded joints are strong and reflect plans. Eligible applicants must have a least 2 years recent verifiable metal fabricating experience , which may occur as part of a vocation-technical program or a post-secondary diploma program at a trade school. Requires everyday methods of using and operating hand tools, tape measure. Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. Bending, reaching above head, and kneeling may be required on a continuous basis. Must have steel toed boots. Must pass basic fabrication test with your own gear. Must speak, read and write in English.
