European School of Music 20th Anniversary Celebration Event not to be missed "Educational Enrichment Extravaganza" The event, sponsored by Sandy Springs Dunwoody Macaroni Kid and Memory Keepers Video and in alliance with the Bush Centre for Ballet, is scheduled for Sunday, August 18th from 2 - 5:30 PM at European School of Music & Chess, Main Campus, 5187 Roswell Road, Sandy Springs, GA; 404-255-8382. Kindergarteners through high school age students and their families are welcome! The free event, open to all, including homeschoolers and children with learning disabilities, will feature performances and demonstrations of music (chamber music, piano, violin, guitar, vocal and music theatre performances), dance, martial arts, “Power brain education” for kids, and more... Participants are invited to explore various artistic, creative, and intellectual activities. An “Interactive Zone” will feature demonstration of various music instruments, language arts, music, math & chess games, crafts, puzzles, etc. The event also includes a silent auction and raffle featuring certificates for kids’ enrichment programs, all beneficial for learning development and items, supplementing children’s development and education. As an added bonus, Memory Keepers Video is presenting mini-sessions on public speaking and professional presentation skills for children. Through video interviews, Dave Savage, family video historian, will allow participants an opportunity to express their thoughts and feelings regarding summertime joys, memories with grandparents, and friendships. With gentle coaching, Dave will record kids to show how they look when speaking more professionally, while inspiring their creativity and self-confidence. On film, children experience an opportunity to set artistic, creative, and academic goals. Enter to win! Prior to the event, children are welcome to enter competitions in various categories including best music composition, choreography, poetry, drawing, invention, and chess game. Winners will be announced at the event and, with permission, their work will be featured on social media including Sandy Springs Dunwoody Macaroni Kid and European School of Music & Chess social media pages.
