Evangelist Robert Jones writes: For WE OURSELVES also were sometimes FOOLISH, DISOBEDIENT, DECEIVED, serving many LUSTS and PLEASURES, living in MALICE and ENVY, HATEFUL, and HATING one another. But after that the KINDNESS and LOVE of God our Savior toward man appeared; not by WORKS of RIGHTEOUSNESS which we have done, but according to His MERCY He SAVED us, by the WASHING of REGENERATION, and RENEWING of the Holy Ghost; which He shed on us ABUNDANTLY through Jesus Christ our Savior (Titus 3:3-6)… The most amazing FALSE IMPRESSION that the WORLD has of the Church is that WE think that we’re BETTER than everyone else, especially those who aren’t SAVED. And their REASONING for having this IMPRESSION isn’t all that UNFOUNDED; because after all, it’s RARE to SEE Christians out in the STREETS, HIGHWAYS, and HEDGES where SINNERS are, spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ for their SOUL SALVATION. We’re COUNTED as being DISPASSIONATE, UNSYMPATHETIC, and LACKING any form of CARING concerning their TRAVELING the HELLBOUND road of DESTRUCTION as though WE have NEVER SINNED. For how often are WE as Saints of God just HAPPY, CONTENT, and COMPLACENT that WE are SAVED, that WE attend church services, and that WE are NOT going to HELL ourselves? We often ACT as if WE were ALWAYS SAVED and have NEVER walked a DAY in SIN, but just BURST from the WOMB – SAVED, SANCTIFIED, and FILLED with the Holy Ghost. But if we TRULY are FILLED with the Holy Ghost, we’d be out in the WORLD, ministering TO the WORLD, and NOT all HUDDLED together in FEAR in church buildings FALSELY believing that WE are the RIGHTEOUS!!!
