Even though over 100,000 of you stood strongly in favor of EPAs historic efforts to limit carbon pollution from Americas future fossil-fuel power plants, the dirty air allies in Congress are now launching a barrage of legislative attacks. Sen. Inhofe added an amendment to the Senates unemployment insurance extension bill that would put the brakes on the EPAs plans to regulate carbon pollution. Senate Minority Leader McConnell is attempting to use the Congressional Review Act to block the EPAs efforts. And Rep. Whitfield joined forces with Sen. Manchin to draft legislation that would block the EPA at every turn.
