Even The Australian hasnt come out to defend Tony -- Tony Abbott has undermined efforts to boost his standing with female voters by nominating the carbon tax repeal as his greatest achievement for women because they are “particularly focused on the household budget”. Greens leader Christine Milne said of the prime ministerial gaffe: “He might as well have said his greatest achievement was to help women buy a better iron so they can stay home and iron more often.”
