Even more proud of our son ... he participated in his first Military wake a thon last night and stayed awake the whole night - way to go Konrad!!! They had them doing marching drills, fitness testing, playing various sports etc. and if they dared fall asleep - it was bag pipes or a bugle in the ear ... lol. At the tender age of 12, our boy is rapidly becoming a man - there is no forgiveness in the Military ... the endurance and dedication far surpasses even the most intense team sports out there. This is not for the faint of heart and to see Konrad step up to the plate like this is the proudest parent moment so far. Our son has found his calling! a few mixed emotions as a mom tho, as I foresee a future where we will hv to say goodbye to him as he is called to serve alongside his fellow soldiers .... sigh
