Even when you dont understand how the world is working, always have faith. This year, I planned to do the Headwrap Expo on Nov 9th and travel to Sierra Leone in December. Well, ebola wiped out our Sierra Leone dream and a few months ago, I had the OVERWHELMING feeling that I needed to postpone the expo. Several reasons came to mind, but it was definitely a strong feeling. I decided to follow my gut and postpone. Then a month later, I get a random email from a book fair representative inviting me to present and exhibit. But not just any book fair, THE MEGA BOOK FAIR of the Middle East that takes place in November in the UAE.....a place I have been dying to visit for over 7 years! So yes, we had to postpone the expo and yes, our trip to Sierra Leone was cancelled, but unbeknownst to me, God already had another plan! Thanks to my family who are stepping up, picking the kids up from school and babysitting while Im gone, Ill actually be able to accept this invitation! Super duper excited and truly grateful for all. So see you Iman Khalid, Majida Abdul-karim, Bayyinah Khadijah Muhammad, Shariea Shoatz, and Eman Fathy in a few weeks inshaAllah!
