Evening all... Id like you to meet 15Yr old Riley Jacka. Approximately 18months ago, at the request of a loving father I was given the responsibility of helping Riley get healthy. I think we nailed it.... (Just quietly when I read this I got a lump in my throat)... Todays the day I found out that Ive lost exactly 20kg since I ever started with one of the hardest but most attentive trainers Ive ever had. Previously Ive tried other trainers that were only concerned with the social aspect of working out. Now that Ive stuck with Jono and lost the amount of weight I have, I wonder if I ever escaped the illness of diabetes that is common amongst most children and teenagers today. Looking back, I never realized how big I was or why people would judge me and its only now that Ive realised how unhealthy and unfit I truly was. For me now, being a teenager and going through the pressures of school and the social acceptance, my weight doesnt concern me as much as it did just aslong as Im aware that Im fit and being healthy. We all have parts of our body that we hate and so do I such as my legs, but realistically that is the build of me and nothing can change that, the only thing I could do is work on them to tone them so they arent mostly fat. Im proud to have lost such a significant amount of weight and Im ready to take it to the next level with Jonos help. YOU CANNOT IMAGINE HOW PROUD I AM OF THIS GIRL!!! Check out these facts: •One in four Australian kids are obese or overweight. •More than a quarter—27%—of Year 4 to Year 9 students were bullied every few weeks or more during a term of school, frequent bullying was most commonly reported by Year 5 and Year 8 students hurtful teasing was the most common type of bullying, followed by having hurtful lies told by another person girls were more likely to bully in covert ways, with students beginning this behaviour as early as Year 3.
