Evening post- Day 134. Stone rebounded pretty well today . He is slowly getting his fluid balance back right. Heart rate still a little high but nothing like yesterday. He hasnt thrown up all day, but has not produced any urine since last dialysis. He had been making between 300 to 500 ccs a day . Hes been tired but all and all he has felt pretty good. They combined his P/T and O/T Sessions today and he did pretty well. We were able to bend the rules a little again this weekend and go to the gym . Its really nice and has every piece of equipment that a kid would need to rehab on. At the beginning of the session, Stone was not really into it much. He was just not trying hard and one of the therapist decided it was time to push him a little. He snapped out of it quick and ended up working hard with having a great session. We have had a wheel chair in the room for a while now but only used it a time or two so we asked them last week to take it away. Today he rode his bike to the gym and anywhere he cant go on the bike they have wagons. Amy and I asked the therapist today when they thought maybe he could start trying to use a walker. She said they saw no need to ever use one. She said hes going to walk soon enough on his on. Praise The Lord is all I can say! I chimed in and said yeah, Stone will walk to that plane when we leave here! Still much work to be done . Praying the episodes of the last two days do not knock us out of going to the rehab floor this week. You have to reach a certain level of stability to be able to go; which we had achieved until the events of Friday afternoon. The real reason for this will be long lost in their days of reports and the fact that he will be on his third renal doctor in as many days. I have to remind myself a lot of days to follow Dr. Rogers advice and try to stay out of Gods way. He has brought this child from the very brink of death to riding a bike to his rehab appointments. How could you question that? Train rolling Texas style!
