Event Supervisor Opportunities Staff Pro Inc., a leading event staffing /crowd management/guest services/security company headquartered in Huntington Beach, CA. is seeking qualified part-time Event Supervisors staff for its Northern California branch. Operating from multiple branch locations in multiple states, Staff Pro Inc. provides the resources necessary to effectively and efficiently manage attendees at conventions, trade shows, sporting and entertainment events at a wide variety of venues. Must be able to provide world class guest service for all of our guests and clients. Applicants must possess strong customer service skills and be able to work in a team atmosphere. Provides supervision for staff including but not limited to ticket takers, ushers, guest services, security, and parking services. The role provides exceptional customer service, must have good judgment, pay close attention to detail and provide accurate information to staff. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: •Actively interact with event staff, guests, and clients staff while preforming assigned tasks. •Serve where needed or as support to other team members including, but not limited to: access gates, ticket taking, directing guests, ushering, contraband searches, and bag checks. •Make quick decisions, and take actions consistent with Staff Pros policies and procedures. •Work with other supervisors and event management in considering alternative strategies when faced with operational challenges during an event. •Demonstrate skill to effectively listen, to value other perspectives, and to modify and/or change your approach to ensure understanding and maximize results. •Successfully present issues and information, orally and in writing, in a clear and credible manner. •Reinforce Staff Pro and client policies and procedures for quality consistency. •Act as a role-model representing Staff Pro and the clients as a professional, in every aspect of the operation. • Attract and mobilize the energies and talents of the crew to achieve service goals and objectives. • Communicate clearly and effectively with fellow staff and guests, especially when conflicts arise. •Identify and quickly respond to emergencies, including assisting with evacuations, according to emergency protocol. • Follow instructions as assigned by clients and Staff Pro Management. •Use a hand-held and walk through metal detector and two way radio. •Observe and report matters of concern to Staff Pro Management. • Clearly write and describe issues by completing an incident report when requested. •Other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Experience: •Must be 18 years old. •Maintain a valid and current security guard license or equivalent. •Previous management or supervisory experience of a team of 10 or more. •Must have access to a computer and possess a smartphone •MUST be willing to travel to various event sites. •Sports and entertainment supervision experience a plus. •Must have a high school diploma or GED. •Excellent communication skills: written and verbal. •Provide exceptional customer service. •Basic math skills to provide accurate counts and reports. •Be able to schedule work for day, evening, overnight, weekend, and holidays. • Must be available for a minimum of 50% of scheduled events. • Attend all department trainings as required. Physical Requirements: •Must be able to stand and walk for a minimum of 6-8 hours. •Ability to navigate a variety of floor surfaces and areas including but not limited to: stairs, escalators, carpet, concrete, grass and dirt. •Must be able to lift a minimum of 35lbs. •Ability to work in a variety of environments including but not limited to: heat, rain, sun, around crowds, loud noise, flashing lights, and darkened corridors.
