Ever catch yourself doing something that would have absolutely traumatized your teenage self, something that would have been unimaginable to the fourteen year old you. Today, I did. A teacher at the alternative high school in town asked his students if they will envelope, write a personal message and help me hide the love letters. Today I walked into their class at the very end of the day to tell them about the project. They had been hot and tired and wanted to leave and had been arguing with their teacher about an assignment he had asked them to tackle. Yet, they quieted down completely and listened as I quoted them the love letter. My fourteen, sixteen, even eighteen year old self was a bit mortified as I told a class of teenagers that I loved them. But, you know what? It felt great.
