Ever scroll down your FB feed and read something a friend wrote or posted which clearly shows they have no understanding of how separations of powers and checks and balances work? Or no understanding of the limitations on the US government when it comes to dealing with certain aspects of foreign affairs? Or just no understanding of how a bill becomes a law? I used to feel the need to comment on these posts and tell people why their post was inaccurate, but after a while it just felt like I was talking to a brick wall. Now I just separate people into two groups in my head. Those who understand how these concepts operate and those that dont. It helps me decide whose posts to read and whose to just scroll right on past. Ive also come to realize that I cant waste any energy on the latter group.
