Ever since Ive arrived at Akron Ive had a little bit of a culture shock per say. In Penn Hills things were pretty racially equal, yeah I was lost in the middle and had to face a couple things, you know discrimination is every where, but it was only but so much of an issue. Here.. here Ive had two in depth conversations with both a black guy and a white guy (not at the same time) and ive been told by both that they would do things with a black girl but would never date or marry one..... I was blown away. I still am. My friend even approached a black guy at a party and offered to dance and he said, I dont mess with black girls. and got high 5s from his friends. Things are just different I guess, the more I get exposed to the world the more I learn. (If you have time read the article she is responding to)
