Everlast Flames Netball Tour - July 2014 Day 3 - Friday 11th July Once again great breakfast although one or two a little slow out of bed but looking good all the same which is more than we can say for the back door of the Bus - a slight technical error in navigation led to me slightly grazing a concrete post at the entrance way to St Margarets! I thought it was an earthquake and would only need some nail polish to fix?? But it is a little more serious. (please see pictures for evidence) Anyway back to the Netball. 4 awesome games - 2 close losses to the Under 13s 19-23 vs Cashmere & 27-28 vs Marist Albion (Player of the Days were Ella & Amber). The Under 14s were beaten 28-33 by Otautahi but had a great win against Marist 26-22 (Players of the Day were Shardaye, Lennox & Jess). Brilliant light lunches supplied by our hosts after each game and a Cultural experience from the Otautahi hosts who presented players, management and supporters with tikis - a symbol of friendship. Then on returning to St Margarets to change for our evening outing at Willowbank Ko Tane we were greeted by a couple of garden gnomes protecting the entrance gates (again see pictures). Ill report on the Maori Cultural Evening later.
