"Every artist knows that a studio (physical or digital) is expensive. There are costs for tools, like a drafting table or easel; and there are costs for consumable supplies like paper, pencils, canvases, and brushes. I think of most of my apps like consumable supplies. I know where they are if I need a specific effect (like I know where each brush is in my physical studio). I think of SketchBook Pro as my drafting table. I use it for layout, touch-ups, textures, cropping, blending, and simple drawing. This single app lets me create and merge my drawings with photography (thanks to sophisticated layering controls). And I can remix multiple versions of the same image along with my hand-drawn marks and textures. No matter how many apps I work with to achieve a specific effect, this is one of the core tools I regularly use to assemble my final images."
