Every money that is looted, every untarred road, every ghost - TopicsExpress

Every money that is looted, every untarred road, every ghost contract awarded signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed. Nigerian Political class is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children. The cost of constituency project for one senator is this: a modern brick school in more than 10 towns. It is two electric power plants, each serving a town of 60,000 population. It is two fine, fully equipped hospitals. It is some 50 miles of a tarred road. I say with all the earnestness that if Nigerian mothers will teach our children that there is no end to the fight for better Nigeria unless they take to the streets and stone these economy vampires. Now, the education of our children is of national concern, and if they are not educated properly, it is a national calamity.
