Every month I have posted on my sobriety birthday well this month is big for me so Ill post today too :) tomorrow I have six months of sobriety I get people telling me good job and they are proud a lot, but I dont let it get to my head because yes I am sober but I havent even gotten to the hardest part yet, me. Ive made some major changes in my life over the past six months including letting go of unhealthy friendships and removing myself from bad situations, learning how to be grateful when things go wrong instead of being ungrateful for the many things that have gone right Ive grown so much but its not enough, not yet. Ive had people tell me in life how much potential I have not often but its happened before lol seriously...lol but I realize today for MYSELF how much potential I have and Im not living up to it once I get to that point Ill be really proud of myself and thats when the true struggle will begin when I exceed my very own expectations thats the point when Ill truly know without a doubt I can do anything! I owe everything I have to God, my program my sponsor my family and my friends all of which have loved me unconditionally and supported me every step of the way Im so grateful today to be sober and finally breaking free from my own prison. Love you guys
