Every opportunist has knocked out a version of this, but Rosemary makes them sound frankly anodyne. Recorded late in her life, her voice is a warm husk and her phrasing - is - both eccentric and - immaculate. The a in the title-line is stressed each time, like a sigh, and it fits so well with the world-weariness of it all. Still, she goes on, backed by cheap synths that strain like gauze to hold the notes. Through the years, we ALL will be together / If the fates AH-llow... Its wonderful, no apologies.
