Every three years, those trainers who are not registered Paras or Nurses, have to do a First Aid At Work course. This is a requirement for the likes of Qualsafe and other Awarding Organisations, and the workplace in general.. Do you think doing a First Aid At Work course is the best thing to do, or would it be more beneficial if trainers had to do an FPOS course or something else that can be seen as more beneficial? I say this because I spent over £300 to attend a First Aid At Work course, which not only was a very poor course, and having spent Ten years on frontline Ambulances, it was merely a box ticking exercise to satisfy Qualsafe. I just thought there are much better courses we could be doing and spending our money on, which would benefit us not just as trainers but personally improving our self learning!?
