Every time God raised a prophet in the Old Testament, He gave the - TopicsExpress

Every time God raised a prophet in the Old Testament, He gave the Israelites a message. The message was often a word of rebuke or reprimand to redirect Israels actions. Where is Israels prophet today? I believe strongly that THE CHURCH today has an obligation and responsibility to assume the role of prophet to Israel. The church should call whats wrong, wrong! So often, we are blind to face our prejudices and preferences for certain people groups, that we blindly slap wrists when wrong has been done. I dont know about you, but Linda & I are committed to not being blind to our kids actions and disciplining them when they are at fault. How much more does our God require from the church towards Israel? We hear on the news that all the Arab nations, especially Palestine, wants to drive all the Jews into the sea and destroy Israel. Lets just go back to the Old Testament. When Israel rebelled against God, God raised up an opposing nation or tribe to crush Israel, with an ultimate aim of forcing Israel to its knees to call on Gods help. Is it even remotely possible that Hamas today is a rod in Gods hand to reprimand Israel so that they call on Him whom they crucified; So that they may call upon O Mighty God and NOT on almighty America? Church, lets WAKE UP!!! Its our time to shine in the darkness. Assume the role of prophet and call on Israel to repent, call on the nations to also repent, and repent from our personal sin of siding with our preferences instead of being on Gods side!! Its heartbreaking to hear many American brothers and sisters in the US blindly and ignorantly supporting Israel and saying they have a right to defend themselves. Im not asking you to turn against the Jewish people; on the contrary, Im asking you to love them and love the Palestinians as well. Jesus loves both people and died for both. I want to leave you with this thought, a theological lesson perhaps. Two thieves were crucified next to Jesus. The two thieves represent the Gentiles and Jews. The gentiles (the thief) repented and he was promised eternal life. The other thief (the Jews) mocked Jesus and he did not repent so he spent his eternal life without Jesus! Saed Awwad
