Everybody Part 2: Everybody Is Important Questions for further study and application: Read Luke 5:27-32. Jesus makes His purpose and mission clear in these verses. Jesus is for EVERYBODY! Read Jesus’ comments from The Message paraphrase version: “I’m here inviting outsiders, not insiders—an invitation to a changed life, changed inside and out.” Read Ephesians 4:11-13. Pay close attention to the role given to pastors/teachers/prophets as described in verse 12. God’s people are to be equipped to perform the ministry. Read Mark 6:34-44. Think about the characters in the story. Write one observation or thought you have about how each one played a role in this miracle: - Jesus - The Disciples - The Little Boy with the Lunch (John 6:9) - The Crowd Read Romans 12:3-8. Think about the gifts that God has given to you. What are these gifts? Be thankful for them! Ensure that you are not wasting them but instead, you’re using them for God’s kingdom. Jesus made His mission plain and clear in Luke 19:10. He later made the mission for the church plain and clear in Matthew 28:19-20 and Acts 1:8. Why do churches miss the mission so often? What part are you playing to ensure that your church is on mission?
