Everyone, I came up with an idea I think will be a lot of fun for both professionals and the students. I hope all of you will agree. . Obviously, for the professionals, this will be an opportunity to allow the students to see the nuances of interpretation a bit more easily. For the students, it will give them a chance to explore their own knowledge. . There wont really be winners in this game, of course, because everyone wins, but I hope many will participate with that in mind. Lets see if we can cover the signs several times over and not just have 12 answers potentially from different signs. . Name a short story or book that you feel describes your Ascendant/rising sign in some way. By all means, say what your rising is, or the students learn nothing. . My Ascendant is Scorpio, and I feel one of the best short stories with a Scorpio twist is William Faulkners A Rose for Emily. And true to my rising sign, it happens to be one of my favorite short stories--even more than Poes Cask of Amontillado. (Feel free to lend your thoughts if you dont see the correlation between the story and the rising sign offered, or elaborate on one if you feel it adds weight to your reasoning. Thats how the student will begin to see the subtleties offered in these selections.) . How about your Ascendant and selected short story or book?
