Everyone has their role models, their idols. Some people have to look far to be inspired by someone, others are fortunate enough to have that person right at home. I was lucky, from grandparents, to my parents, to my siblings Ive always had a great support system and someone to look up to. Each person in my family has molded me into the person that I am today, and Im very grateful to each and every person that has helped along the way. Today, I get to celebrate one of those people. My brother Derrick Baker, one of the most talented and driven people I have ever known. The imagination and creativity he has alone is so inspiring, and then he has this drive and motor in himself that wont let him stop, wont let him ever fail that is unbelievable. Its no secret that my brother is one of my best friends, and those that truly know him can understand why, but Derrick has always gone out of his way to involve me. That goes for my brother Jamie Baker as well, but today is about Derrick. My whole life I got to play with the older kids, was able to hang out with my brothers and their friends, and this made me better at a lot of things growing up, and made me grow up and mature a little faster as well. Although, if you know Derrick, you might ask how. Derrick has this child like enjoyment out of life, although he stresses the same real world things we all do, he finds ways to enjoy himself and be happy in a child like manner. No matter how hard things might be getting, he has the ability to make those around him smile and have fun while they are around him. Thats one of those traits that I do admire as well. Today, Id like to wish a very happy birthday to my brother, one of the most talented, creative and imaginative people I have ever met, someone that has always inspired me to do more and do bigger and greater things, someone that has shown me there are no limitations if you are creative enough to work around them or through them, one of my role models and idols, one of my best friends, and my brother, Derrick Baker. Happy Birthday brother, I love you, and hope you have a great birthday, and cant wait to celebrate on Saturday.
